Since 1983, Jefferson Patterson Park and Museumís (JPPM) team of dedicated staff have connected people to the past through history, archaeology and the preservation of Marylandís cultural resources.

Current Openings:

Entry-level Conservator of Archaeological Materials
The Conservator will work under the direction of the MAC Labís Head Conservator on a collection of Native American petroglyphs, housed at the MAC Lab. The 12-week project will include a detailed inventory and condition survey, surface cleaning of the petroglyphs, the development of a conservation strategy, and rehousing.

Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum is recruiting for two fulltime CONTRACTUAL positions to work for eleven (11) weeks starting May 31, 2017.  The work week may be up to 40 hours and days will vary.  Some weekends will be required. High school and college students are encouraged to apply.

JPPM partners with local colleges and universities to provide intern opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students. Students will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience in fields such as archaeology, curation, museum management, historic preservation and archaeological conservation. Internship opportunities will be posted as they become available.
