Site: 18HA30 Old Baltimore Context: Area A, Block C, Unit 28, Layer 1, Lot/FS 255; Plow zone over a brick rubble feature Site Date Range: c. 1680-1710 Metal: Ferrous alloy Length: 3.46” (8.8 cm) Spine Thickness: 0.2” (5.2 mm) Description: Smoker’s companion missing several elements, including the spring mechanism and bottom portion of the grip where a tamper may have been. The disk end of the grip and the pinching tips are also partially missing. A slight notch is present on the bottom of the tool in front of the joint.
